Christmas Holidays are Finally Here!
With only two days left in 2006 I thought it would be appropriate to sign out of 2006 with a post.
The Year started off with an ice dip into the ocean and will be ending in a similar fashion in Tofino over new years. After finished the semester at UBC, I was frantically busy trying to cram all my Christmas shopping into one day before I was whisked off to Edmonton, Alberta for Christmas with my family.
I am embarking on a fun filled trip to Tofino tomorrow with Kasandra my parents and some of our family friends who live in Duncan. I am planning on doing some storm watching, drinking/eating lots, sitting by a driftwood fire on MacKenzie Beach and surf some huge winter waves at Cox Bay and South Chesterman Beach.
I would also like to wish Evan Morris good luck, as he departs off to Australia for two months chasing his girlfriend Greta back to her home land. http://gettingthereishalfthefun.blogspot.com/ I am sure we will enjoy some of his tales from a sunburnt country. When traveling Evan always brings to life some of our most remarkable people, places and wildlife in his blog posts. I am looking forward for some good stories. Farewell good friend. I thought it would be appropriate to send you off on you trip with a quote from the former Steve Irwin the legendary Crocodile Hunter, "Life is a Journey."

Happy new year Matt! From what I've heard from Evan it sounds like he already had an adventure in Fuji!
