Thousand Trails La Conner
Life has been busy the last few weeks Last week Kasandra and I went down to the La Conner, Washington for a mid semester week vacation in a cabin. We arrived at the campground close to 3:00 pm Thursday and went to Deception Pass State Park on Whidbey island.

The sites include a picnic table and campfire area, power, and water. There was mini golf course and a large outdoor hot tub. We barbecued, drank wine, slept lots, studied little and went shopping at Seattle Premier Outlets. I loved it. I am anxious to go back.

The campground is situated on 1/2 mile of saltwater beach frontage on Puget Sound. To the west lie the San Juan Islands. Five minutes to the east is the old fishing village town of La Conner, with lots of arts, crafts and antique stores, and interesting historical buildings.

The cabin we stayed in was nicer than my place, it slept six and has all the conveniences you need for a comfortable stay: full kitchen and bath, satellite TV, deck with gas grill, linens and cookware, everything.

Best part of the package, it was free. Kasandra has a membership to Thousand Trail and she received a free weeks stay in a cabin.
